StartAMZ2: What to Check Before You Start an Amazon Business

Contents

If you've searched for StartAMZ2, you've probably seen it described as an all-in-one platform for launching an Amazon business.

Before you sign up or pay for anything, it's worth knowing what we could and couldn't confirm.

Introduction

Earlier versions of this article described StartAMZ2 as a platform with product research tools, inventory management, marketing features, Amazon integration and 24/7 expert support.

When we went back to check, we could not find an official website, a company behind the name or any independent information confirming those features. We have removed those claims because we can't verify them.

If someone is pitching you StartAMZ2 (or any similar tool), ask for the company's legal name, its address, a written refund policy and clear pricing before you hand over payment details.

Starting an Amazon business doesn't require a special platform. Amazon runs its own seller program, and you can sign up directly through Sell on Amazon.

Amazon lists two selling plans: an Individual plan that charges $0.99 per item sold, and a Professional plan at $39.99 per month. Most products also carry a referral fee that varies by category. Fees change, so check Amazon's current pricing page before you start.

Many legitimate third-party tools exist for product research, inventory and advertising. They can be useful, but they cost money and none of them can guarantee sales.

Why StartAMZ2 is Important

The name matters less than the warning signs. Online "start your own Amazon business" offers are a common route for business opportunity scams.

The FTC says that if an offer promises guaranteed income, large returns, or a "proven system", it's likely a scam.

Other red flags the FTC lists include:

  • Pressure to sign up or pay quickly so you don't "miss out"
  • Requests for your card or bank details before you can evaluate the offer
  • Coaches who keep asking for more money to help your business succeed
  • Success stories and reviews that may be invented

Before paying for any Amazon business tool or course:

  • StartAMZ2 or any other platform should be able to tell you who runs it and how to contact them.
  • Search the company name plus "complaints" or "scam," and check with your state attorney general.
  • Read the refund and cancellation terms before entering card details.
  • Start with Amazon's own seller resources and fees so you know what you actually need to pay for.
  • Never pay for a "guaranteed" income system.

If you think you've been scammed, report it to the FTC at ReportFraud.ftc.gov and contact your card issuer to dispute the charge.
